Agricultural Act of 2014

The Agricultural Act of 2014 (H.R. 2642; Pub.L. 113–79, formerly the “Federal Agriculture Reform and Risk Management Act of 2013”, is an act of Congress that authorizes nutrition and agriculture programs in the United States for the years of 2014-2018.

Congress included a provision in the Agricultural Act of 2014 that allowed colleges and state agencies to grow and conduct research on hemp in states where it is legal.

U.S. President Barack Obama signed the bill into law on February 7, 2014.
